Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of California

Unitarian Universalist Justice Ministry of California UUJMCA is a statewide justice ministry that serves to empower the moral voice of Unitarian Universali

UUJMCA creates collaborative justice by connecting and using the powerful network of UUs in California. We work for collective liberation by putting our faith in action with accountable relationships with our coalition partners. Our faith calls us to achieve the following reality:

1) California Unitarian Universalists have access to and participate in statewide justice education, advocacy, and wi

tness that deepens their faith and changes life for the better in California.
2) California Unitarian Universalist justice leaders are trained, effective, inspiring and connected.
3) California Unitarian Universalist congregations have strong justice ministries.
4) California policy-makers and justice leaders value UUJMCA as a visible and credible partner in advancing justice in California. We are called by our Unitarian Universalist faith to change the policies and structures that inhibit human development, harm the environment, and destroy communities. We are called to educate and organize for justice that transforms our world.

For those of us who value justice, equity and all life, yesterday was a very difficult, if not horrifying, day. If you are feeling a variety of emotions and longing for community, join UU Ministry for Earth for a Movement Chaplaincy Circle. These are open to anyone and everyone!

Movement Chaplaincy provides spiritual and emotional support to people who are engaged in justice work. It is increasingly clear that there is an emotional and spiritual cost of participating in the enduring work for justice, and that will be even more true over the next four years.

In this time together, we will share our feelings without fixing, saving or advising. I will lead some practices to ground, center and sustain us for the weeks ahead.

No need to register. Just come.

—Rev. Kelly Dignan
