I recently met with Placer County elected officials serving on the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency after being invited to a briefing on ongoing transportation projects and the broader transportation needs facing our region.

Sacramento County is part of a larger regional transportation network, and our long-term success depends on planning and investing together. That means coordinating on major corridors, transit, emergency preparedness, and the infrastructure needed to support our communities as our region continues to grow.

I look forward to continuing to work with our partners across the Sacramento region to strengthen our transportation infrastructure and ensure our communities are well-positioned for future growth.

Team Bera was excited to join the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Rancho Cordova Community Food Hub!

This new facility will continue serving families in need across Rancho Cordova and East Sacramento County.

It’s great to see the new site open after I joined the wall breaking and later toured the facility while it was still under construction last October.

Thank you to the staff, volunteers, and community partners working every day to fight hunger in our community.

Trump said his war with Iran would last for a few weeks. It has now been six months and there’s no end in sight.

This war has been a strategic and costly failure for our nation. 18 American service members are dead, Iran’s regime remains entrenched, America’s diplomatic leverage has been diminished, and Americans are facing higher costs from the gas station to the grocery store.

We must end this war as soon as possible and address the pressing issues facing the American people here at home.

President Trump is plunging our country into a petty and reckless trade war with one of our closest allies while families are struggling to put food on the table, keep the lights on, and afford a roof over their heads.

We deserve better than this.

Happy National Dog Day!

A few months ago, I met this adorable rescue pup at the ASPCA’s “Paws for Luck” adoption event hosted on Capitol Hill.

I’m grateful for the shelters and rescue organizations that give animals safety, care, and a second chance at finding a loving home. 🐾🐶

Sacramento County families are paying the price for President Trump’s war with Iran.

Since the start of the war, Sacramento County households have spent an average of $373 more on gas.

At a time when families are already struggling with the cost of groceries, housing, and healthcare, they should not be forced to pay even more at the pump because of an unnecessary war.
