The winter months and the holidays can be particularly challenging in different ways. Remember: self-care. Some tips for mental wellness:

✅️ Set Boundaries. It’s okay to say no and protect your energy.
✅️ Stay Connected. Reach out to a friend, peer, or support group. Connection reduces isolation.
✅️ Move Your Body. Even a short walk can reduce stress and boost your mood.
✅️ Practice Mindfulness. Deep breathing, journaling, and meditation help you stay grounded.
✅️ Ask for Help. Seeking support is a strength, not a weakness.

Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health’s Alternative Crisis Response (ACR) Team offers safe, support for people in a mental health crisis. Their campaign to inform county residents about ACR resulted in a 50% increase in calls to the help line.
