What a profoundly inspiring ceremony, as the all-woman Board of Supervisors elected by the people of Napa County became complete with the Oath of Office taken by its newest two members and returning senior member. Five of the most capable, committed, and collaborative in all of California, bringing five distinct, unique perspectives to a board where, gladly, none will be asked to represent all women, all by herself. Proud of Supervisors Gallagher, Ramos, Cottrell, Alessio, and Manfree, and of the Napa electorate, and energized to work with them to solve problems and strengthen quality (and affordability) of life in the county we love. All of this underscored by the oath of office being administered by our own Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, who just happens to chair the women's caucus for the entire California Legislature.
It was an honor to participate in the Oath of Office ceremony for new Supervisors Alessio and Manfree and returning Supervisor Ramos. Congrats to all of you! I'm looking forward to working together for Napa County.
Thank you to Supervisor Gallagher for emceeing, to Assembly Majority Leader Aguiar-Curry for administering the oaths, to State Senator Cabaldon for speaking, and especially to all the residents and leaders who attended. Great to mark this moment as a community!
