Blake Margolis is a lifelong Rowlett resident, with a deep-seated connection to his community rooted in active participation from the tender age of six. Alternate Member of the Rowlett Parks & Recreation Advisory Board. In this role, Blake was instrumental in the "Rebuild Kids Kingdom" project and played a significant part in the 2015 Parks & Recreation Bond. His educational journey culminated in
earning a degree in Government with a focus on National Security, equipping him with a blend of academic and practical insights. In 2017, his unwavering commitment to Rowlett’s progress was recognized as he was elected to the City Council. Despite being one of the youngest Councilmembers in the State, Blake's contributions were monumental, initiating and implementing various policies and services that have profoundly impacted Rowlett’s trajectory. His tenure lasted until 2022 when he ascended to the role of Mayor. During his stint as a Councilmember and now as Mayor, Blake holds numerous positions:
