This week, we approved a voluntary, optional water resource to residents with infants under 12 months of age. Read more about it from City of Rosemount - Government.

ICYMI: Last night, City Council approved the Infant Formula Water Program. Starting July 1, eligible households with bottle-fed infants (0–12 months) can receive a free water filter pitcher and replacement filters to help reduce infant exposure to naturally occurring manganese when preparing formula with city water. This program is voluntary and offered as an optional resource to residents. Rosemount’s drinking water continues to meet all state and federal safety standards for consumption.

It's finally here! In just a day or so, the Akron-Connemara intersection will close for construction of a new roundabout. While this closure will bring some temporary inconvenience, it should result in improved traffic safety when the roundabout opens around the start of the school year. Food trucks you might ask? Yes, we have FOOD TRUCKS!

We've scheduled Ol' Smoky BBQ, the Las Tortillas food truck, Eggroll Queen, The Brick Oven Bus, Matt's Bar Food Truck, Northern Aloha Ice, and the Rosemount Knights of Columbus Pork Chop Tent.

Sharing a milestone and mama-brag: Our daughter Anna (RHS '22) recently graduated from our alma mater Drake University, magna cm laude with departmental honors. Rosemount has been a great place to raise our children, and I know this community has helped shape her success and that of so many others. Next up: grad school!

At this week's City Council meeting: We received a JustServe City Award, heard a presentation from Minnesota Valley Transit Authority (where 2025 ridership on Rosemount services was up 32.1%!), recognized National Public Works Week, and approved a 250,000 square foot warehouse & distribution facility to be constructed on 15.5 acres by the FedeEx facility. Earlier this week, the Rosemount Port Authority toured EGA Spectro Alloys on the east side of town. A long-time fixture in Rosemount, EGA Spectro Alloys employs over 200 people locally and is a global leader in aluminum recycling. If you're new to town, you may not know this, but Rosemount High School has one of the top band programs not just in the state, but the region and nation. Tonight is your chance to see them at an outdoor concert at Central Park.
