We all play a part in the office when it comes to advocating for crime victims and protecting their rights. This year we made sweatshirts to support the National theme. Thank goodness for youtube videos showing Kim and Sandra how to use the Cricut machine!

This week is National Crime Victims' Rights Week. In conjunction with the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post "Purses with a Purpose" month long campaign, our team rallied and brought in toiletries and various sundries to pack 10 backpacks for donation to local shelters. Thanks Trooper McCauley for working our assembly line with us!

Our team is happy to partner with River House and support their Clothesline Project this month. If you're in the Courthouse please stop by to view t-shirts created by survivors of violence designed to raise awareness as this April we acknowledge National Crime Victims' Rights Week April 19-25, Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
