Established on April 19, 1948, the Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro (NC) Chapter became the first Chapter in The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated. Founding members of this Chapter are: Ann Armstrong, Marguerite Armstrong, Sallie Armstrong, Nancy Bowens, Esmeralda Hawkins, Jessie Pash, Grace Artis, Addie Butterfield, Norma Darden, Ethel Hines, Nan Delaney Hines, Vera Shade and Helen G.

The Wilson-Rocky Mount-Tarboro (NC) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated proudly presented a $500 contribution to the Boys & Girls Club in support of their outstanding youth development efforts.

Through our Services to Youth facet, this initiative was spearheaded as a conduit to support key goals of fostering academic success, career readiness, mental and physical well-being, and meaningful mentorship for the young people we serve.

We continue to see, hear, and validate the fruits of the labor of this remarkable organization through the many impactful programming activities provided both inside and outside of the Club.

Special recognition is extended to Executive Director Ron Greene for his impeccable leadership, as well as to his dedicated staff, whose unwavering commitment continues to enrich the lives of youth and strengthen our community.

We are honored to support this important work and remain committed to investing in the success of our youth.

Thanks to our sponsors, exhibitors and vendors for providing educational and health resources to our service area. πŸ’š

Thank you to each of our facets and Links Sisters for their donation of over 500 books, literacy games/ puzzles and activity books, etc. for distribution to our young readers and authors within our communities.

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a graduating senior who meets the eligibility criteria, specifically a student graduating from a high school in Pitt, Edgecombe, Wilson, or Nash County with plans to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) this fall.

Please share with someone you know who qualifies. Deadline to submit the application packet including an essay, transcript, letter of recommendations, acceptance letter and application is April 15.
