Hey Winston’s World!! I hope your week has been amazing so far!

We’ve had a busy one with parent/teacher conferences happening this week. When the days get busy and long, it’s so important to find time to rest and reset. Today I got to do just that with some special friends. With Ms. Osburn and Ms. Meyer’s help, I got to give and receive some comfort and rest. And it was exactly what we all needed.

Happy Halloween 🎃🐾🎃
We had the best time at Cannonsburg and Edgerton Trails today. From ‘best friends’ to unexpected visits with my favorite groomer, to waiting patiently for the parade, and little spots of feelings in Ms. Meyer’s class 🧡. We worked, we celebrated, we supported, and now we rest.

It’s funny how the little things can have such a big impact, sometimes. As we approach the excitement of Halloween and the business of parent/teacher conference week, it’s important to slow down and notice the little things. From snoozing close by during reading interventions to climbing up on the playground equipment, sometimes one small act can bring comfort, smiles and a real feeling of belonging.

As we kicked off a new week, life was oh so good, and still oh so busy. When this happens, one of the best things we can do is pause and take a few minutes to ourselves. Self care looks different for everyone - today it looked like snuggles, a quick snooze and a check in with a super responsible 5th grade helper while Ms. O focused on work right behind us.

I can’t believe my birthday week came and went so quickly! Thank you SO much for the kind words and wishes; they are so appreciated 🧡

These 4 snapshots sum the week up well…
🔸connecting with staff and kids alike
🔸excitement and the challenge of self control when the feeling is high!
🔸classroom visits and sleepy snoozes
🔸 the feelings of complete calm and tired all rolled into 1!

Oh! And did I mention Cub Crawl was today?! Cannonsburg 🐻s had an amazing morning celebrating the generosity of our community and the commitment of our PTC. THANK YOU to all those who played a role!

Oh my. What. A. Day!!

I had the most amazing 4th birthday today. These Cannonsburg & Edgerton Trails 🐏s sure know how to make a guy feel special 🖤 here are some of the highlights:

🔸 personalized cards from Ms. Meyer’s class 😍
🔸 a really good snooze with one of my besties 😴
🔸 extra hugs & love from Mrs. Cnossen 🥰
🔸 some serious fun with another one of my besties
🔸 excitement in the office with extra love and the best scratches 😌
🔸trying to knock that party hat off every chance I got 😒
🔸 & finally, a serious birthday pose, because work is serious business!

Not pictured - so many happy birthday wishes, visits on the playground, some recess fun outside with Mrs. Ouellette, and all the happy memories I made today.

Happy Fri-Yay and CHEERS to the weekend!
We’ve had a fun and busy end of the week featuring….

🔸silly moods in the main office when the belly rubs hit just right
🔸time with colleagues - because they need some love sometimes too!
🔸an impromptu visit with friends after early release
🔸waiting patiently at the curb because Mrs. Osburn wouldn’t let me go on the bus OR to Red Barn with my kinder friends. How rude!

Hey Winston’s World!! Who’s ready for a photo dump?!

We’ve been busy at school and working so hard. From practicing patience in Mrs. Gregory’s DK class, to spending mornings with colleagues, to napping any chance I get!

🐾 I got to visit Mrs. Gregory’s class, but we had to wait until all their jobs were done. Boy did we work hard to practice our self control.

🐾 getting pets from our little 🐏s is one of my favorite things, but sometimes I get REALLY sleepy. Can you tell?!

🐾 part of my job is to wait and give space when friends feel a little nervous around me. That way they can learn that I am calm and safe. When this happens, sometime a paw or 2 resting on a foot is just the right thing.

🐾 Mrs. Osburn’s been really busy lately helping kids, so sometimes I spend time with other friends at school. Tuesday I spent a lot of time with Mrs. Slater!

🐾 today, I got to hang out on my bed in the main office at Edgerton Trails. It so nice to get to spend time with kids, parents and coworkers, too!

Hey there Winston’s World! I didn’t get many photos today, but it was a busy one! I went to meetings, helped friends learn how to share in a small group, spent time in the office and took 2 walks around the school! I got lots of attention and pets while in the office, so I had to make sure my friends know how much I appreciate it!

Have you ever felt like you blinked and suddenly days or weeks have gone by? Like you’ve been so busy that you go through the motions without even realizing it??
I have, I have!!

And when this happens, I have to force myself to slow down, to be mindful of where I’ve been and where I’m going, and take time to rest and just “be.”

Thanks to all my 🐏 friends who welcome me and support me and encourage me. I’m so grateful for them and their support.

Here’s a quick snapshot of my last few weeks!

🐾 spending lots of time with Ms. Myer’s class, and helping friends overcome some big feelings.

🐾 recess visits, classroom visits and office visits!
