McKenzie Kent Memorial Page Little McKenzie left this world at 10 1/2 months old. Attacked by a horrible disease called histiocytosis. Darrick and I miss her terribly.

McKenzie Kent was born on Oct. 17th 1997 to the parents of Darrick and Amy Kent. Kenzie fought a long tough battle with Histiocytosis. The Dr.'s treated her with chemotherapy, steroids, blood transfusions, platelets, and so on for months. Histiocytosis is a horrible disease that is often times undiagnosed. CH) resembles that of Leukemia. This type is not hereditary unlike HLH which carries a hereditary gene. Histio as many refer to it, steals and ruins the lives of many in this world and there is no government funding to help research. As a parent, losing a child is one of the toughest things a parent can do. I have tragically lost my dad. I've lost friends, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and yet although each hurt in different ways losing McKenzie has and will continue to sting the most. I miss her like crazy everyday.
