Members recently finished a 4 day trench rescue class. This was a great opportunity to train with other local departments on technical rescue.

B-shift traveled to Gilford for a full day of live fire evolutions. They honed in on their skills including hone line advancement, search and rescue, VEIS (vent, enter, isolate, search), incident command and fire behavior. These types of trainings are crucial to work on for when the real emergencies happen. Thank you to Gilford Firefighters Local 3517 for providing the instructors and burn building. We appreciate your hospitality!

Members traveled to Manchester this week for a great opportunity to train in elevator rescues at the fisher cat stadium great event hosted by the New England rescue collaborative and signal 73 fire training.

Members attended the Muscular Dystrophy Association's fill-the-boot kickoff event in Connecticut, gaining firsthand insight into the impact of local donations. The organization is advancing research for cures and offering opportunities for children with muscular dystrophy to participate in summer camp programs. MDA has maintained a partnership with the International Association of Fire Fighters for over 72 years.

Local 1451 and its members would like to congratulate Firefighter Austin Lewis on completing the Tough Ruck Boston. This is a 26.2 mile ruck carrying a 45 pound pack. It honors the Fallen Military and First Responders. This takes a special person with the physical and mental toughness to complete. Thank you for representing Rochester Professional Firefighters well. We are proud of you!

Shoutout to Caitlin Mullaney, APRN and Holly Leighton, Practice Manager, for representing APDerm at their final firefighter skin cancer screening on March 25th with the Rochester, NH Fire Department!

Together, they completed four screening events, contributing to 40+ screenings across our company in March—supporting early detection and the health of our local heroes. ❤️
