Trash collection services will start again tomorrow!
Due to winter weather, service is on a two-day delay this week. Roanoke Solid Waste Management crews will begin collecting Monday’s regular routes on Wednesday, with the rest of the week shifting accordingly.
Please place your trash cart out according to this updated schedule—when it’s safe to do so—and leave it at your set-out location until serviced. Once emptied, return your cart to a spot near your residence and away from the curb.
Have extra trash? Residents may place up to four bags of household trash next to their cart for pickup this week. Please secure all bags to prevent loose litter and place them at least three feet from obstructions like mailboxes or parked cars.
If your collection is in an alley, service may be delayed due to compacted snow and ice creating unsafe conditions. (Monday and Tuesday alley routes were collected early on Saturday, January 24.) If you’re safely able, you may place your cart and secured bags at the front of your residence instead.
