The Town of Westlake’s social media channels are intended to provide timely information, promote community engagement, and highlight Town services, programs, and events. We welcome respectful interaction and encourage constructive dialogue. Community Expectations:

To maintain a positive and productive environment, all users engaging with the Town of Westl

ake social media platforms are expected to:

• Be respectful and courteous in all interactions
• Stay on topic and relevant to the original post
• Use appropriate language at all times
• Respect the privacy of others
• Comment and Interaction Policy

The Town of Westlake reserves the right to hide comments, remove comments, or remove tags that include:

• Profanity, obscene, or offensive language
• Personal attacks, harassment, or threats
• Discriminatory remarks based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or other protected characteristics
• False information or misleading claims
• Political campaigning or advocacy
• Commercial promotions, advertisements, or spam
• Content that violates any local, state, or federal laws

Repeated violations of these guidelines may result in users being blocked from the Town’s social media platforms. Transparency & Moderation:

• Comments may be monitored during regular business hours
• Not all comments will receive a response
• The Town will respond to questions as appropriate and as resources allow
• For urgent concerns or service requests, residents should contact Town Hall directly or visit westlaketx.gov
