Work has begun on waterline replacement between Broadacres Avenue and West Park Drive.
The city contractor, Viper Underground Construction, will be bursting the old waterline and pulling in a new line. The work began this week with a temporary water service line being put together. The contractor then began digging access points in order to replace the old line. The work is expected to take 2-3 weeks.

🚧 Riverview Road & South Major Avenue Construction Update

We’ve heard the questions about when Riverview Road will be paved — and why crews moved back over to South Major Avenue. There are two coordinated projects happening at the same time to keep the overall schedule efficient when the concrete is poured.

• South Major Avenue is currently being prepped for curb, gutter, and sidewalk installation as part of the Willow Creek Safe Routes to School Project.

• Riverview Road is being prepped for pavement, and both the curb/gutter/sidewalk work and the roadway paving are scheduled to be poured next week.

We know the dust and detours have been frustrating, and this has been a long project. The finish line is close, and the long‑term improvements will be worth it.

🚻 Park Restroom Update

We have an update regarding the restrooms at Sunset Park and Jaycee Park!

✅ Sunset Park: The restrooms are now open and fully operational.

🚧 Jaycee Park: The restrooms are still closed at this time. However, portable restrooms are available on-site for public use.

💜 Su***de Prevention Month Proclamation 💜

At last night’s City Council meeting, we had the honor of recognizing September as Su***de Prevention Month in our community.

Su***de prevention is something that touches all of us. This month serves as an important reminder to look out for one another, to check in on those around us, and to create a community where people feel supported, heard, and never alone.

We are proud to recognize Su***de Prevention Month and to stand together in raising awareness, encouraging open conversations, and reminding our community that every life matters. 💜

Sometimes a simple “How are you doing?” can make a difference. Let’s continue to look out for one another—not just this month, but every day.
