Though this journey may have taken a different path, your support has been invaluable, and I'm truly thankful for it. Let's continue working together for the betterment of our community. I wanted to take a moment to address some rumors and speculation that have been circulating regarding my platform and agenda. It's important to me that you have accurate information, so let's set the record straight.

Rumor #1: I am in favor of DHR and support their takeover of local healthcare facilities and businesses.
Fact: While Dr. Vazquez and Dr. Rodriguez, respected members of our community, support DHR and are partners, my agenda solely focuses on improving healthcare in our community. I am open to collaboration with any organization, whether it's DHR, South Texas Health System, Prime Healthcare, or Rio Grande Regional, that benefits SCMH and our community's health.

Rumor #2: My decisions are not influenced by my wife's employment at DHR.
Fact: My commitment to unbiased decision-making remains steadfast. I am fully capable of separating personal and professional interests for the betterment of SCMH.

Rumor #3: I do not support local doctors and healthcare practitioners.
Fact: On the contrary, I actively support and engage with our local doctors and healthcare providers. Visiting almost all local doctors underscores my dedication to collaborating and building upon existing medical facilities, always with the inclusion of local expertise and talent.

I hope this clarifies any misunderstandings or misinformation. My primary goal is to work tirelessly for the improvement of healthcare in our community, and I am committed to transparency and open communication every step of the way.

I'd like to address the rumors circulating about my agenda and intentions in running for the hospital board. My primary and sole objective is to enhance healthcare services in our community. Any speculation suggesting otherwise, particularly regarding support for DHR and its takeover of local healthcare facilities, is unfounded. My foremost commitment is to retain all healthcare business within Starr County. Both Dr. Vazquez and Dr. Rodriguez, esteemed partners in our medical community, endorse the contributions of DHR to our area. I'm open to collaboration with any entity that benefits Starr County Memorial Hospital (SCMH), be it DHR, South Texas Health System, Rio Grande Regional, Prime Healthcare or others.
Regarding my wife's employment at DHR, I want to clarify her role as solely an employee. The hospital's welfare and the well-being of our citizens are my utmost concern, without any personal affiliations.
Another misconception circulating is that I aim to diminish the presence of local doctors. I want to emphasize my full support for our local healthcare professionals. In fact, I've actively engaged with many local doctors to understand their needs and aspirations. My vision is to foster the growth and improvement of existing medical facilities while championing and bolstering our local medical practitioners.
