How soon we forget how Gov. Little was the the first Governor to receive Federal funding and shut down all “non-essential” workers, which included churches. But the liquor stores, big box stores and corporate merchants remained open.😡
When Governor Little shut down religious gatherings during COVID, I didn't write an angry Facebook post. I filed a federal lawsuit. Herndon v. Little. The ban was lifted within weeks.
In 2022, the Idaho Senate passed SB 1381 — the Coronavirus Pause Act — to ban vaccine mandates. It passed the Senate 24-11 and the House 45-23. Governor Little vetoed it. The Senate tried to override.
It failed by just 3 votes.
Jim Woodward voted NO on the bill. Then he voted NO on the override. His vote helped kill it.
Then conservative reinforcements arrived. In 2023, I joined the Idaho Senate and we passed SB 1130 — the Coronavirus Stop Act.
Not a pause. A stop. Permanent law banning any business or government entity in Idaho from requiring a COVID vaccine as a condition of employment, services, or entry.
We got it done because principled conservatives who watched the government overreach during COVID showed up and won their elections.
Jim Woodward had two chances to protect Idaho workers from "get the shot or lose your job." He voted no both times.
Your body. Your family. Your choice.
Make Idaho Healthy Again. Vote Herndon for Senate, May 19.
