Tiny Little Teachers

Each year the Popcorn Days Children’s Pageants aim to teach our youth the importance of friendship, character, and giving back to our communities. At the beginning of every pageant year, Jan and I like to think that we have all of these goals on how we are going to teach these life skills to our youth. In fact, it is the youth that leave us with life lessons learned. We’ve seen kids cry, not because they didn’t win their division, but because they were genuinely happy for their best friend. We’ve seen young men fight their anxiety of being in large crowds only to win them over with their charm during their interviews. We’ve witnessed children painting our ball fields, picking up trash in our parks, donating clothing to the less fortunate, and collecting canned goods for our local food bank. Year after year, we get a glimpse into the lives of our littles here in Gallatin County. Year after year we strive to show them that pageants aren’t just about how pretty your dress his, how handsome your smile looks, but more about being there for each other, cheering on your competitors, and giving back in the biggest of ways to the communities that raise us. We hope that you will allow your little to be a part of this wonderful tradition. We look forward to learning something new from each girl and boy every year. Please allow this to be your child’s year to participate.
