On Saturday March 07, 2026, the coroners office was contacted by detectives from the sheriffs office in regards to the discovery of skeletal remains in a wooded area near Coosawhatchie and Point South.
The coroner's office will be sending the remains for identification and testing.

On March 06, 2026, Mr. Francisco Garcia Bonilla, 22, of Ridgeland was involved in a two-vehicle collision. The accident occurred on Deerfield Road (HWY 321) near Old Charleston Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

December 6, 2025
At approximately 8:40 pm on December 5, 2025, Mrs. Keeley Kai Hall, 25, of Ridgeland SC, was involved in a three-vehicle collision. The incident occurred on Lowcountry Drive, East of Snake Road. Mrs. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

The Coroners office extends its condolences and prayers to the family for their loss.

At approximately 2:00 pm on November 16, 2025, Mr. Clarence J. Washington, 44 of Hardeeville SC was involved in an ATV accident that occurred at Purrysburg Road and Old Charleston Highway, in Hardeeville.

Mr. Washington was treated at the scene of the accident and then transported to Coastal Carolina Hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.

Motor Vehicle Fatality

Jasper County Coroner Office is releasing the identity of the individual involved in a motor vehicle collision.

On Sunday, June 29,2025, at approximately 3pm. a motor vehicle collision occurred on Speedway Blvd. in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

Mr. Mark Lang, 61 years old from Stone Mountain , Ga. was the driver of a Ford Mustang traveling southbound when he struck an oncoming Ford F-150.

Due to the injuries sustained. Mr. Mark Lang was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Jasper County Coroner’s Office along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the death.

Double Fatality in Levy Community

On April 29, 2025, at approximately 7:20 pm, the Jasper County Coroner's Office responded to a call at 332 McDowell Circle in Hardeeville, SC.

Mr Apolinar Gonzalez-Sanchez, 55, was in a domestic dispute with his wife, Mrs Christine L. Gonzalez, 46, at their home on McDowell Circle, Hardeeville SC. As a result of their dispute, shots were fired. Due to injuries they sustained, Mr and Mrs Gonzales were both pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Riley.

The Jasper County Coroner's Office, along with the Jasper County Sheriff's Office, will be investigating the deaths of both individuals.
