This one has definitely been making its way around social media. We’ve received several complaints about this throughout our Post District as well. Great job Nicholasville Police Department for getting to the bottom of it.

Parents, please take a minute to talk with your kids about what they post and share on social media. Things can spread quickly and sometimes what starts as a joke can turn into something much bigger. A simple conversation can go a long way.

We received a message through our "Thank A Trooper" portal about KSP Post 7's Trooper Adam Quiles.

"I was expecting a delivery of dog food from Tractor Supply. We hear a knock at our door, and my husband goes outside. It took longer than I expected, so I stepped outside. I immediately saw Trooper Adam Quiles, and I am sure he saw the shocked look on my face.
Trooper Quiles had arrested the delivery driver in Madison County. I live on the far east side of Clark County. This nice trooper delivered our dog food. I cannot express my gratitude enough! It wasn’t that I cared so much about the dog food, but that this young man went above and beyond what was expected of him. It was the act of kindness, the gesture that will stick with me.”

As we wrapped up the Kentucky State Fair yesterday, I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket on the 2026 Corvette Stingray from me and supported us throughout the year in support of Trooper Island Camp, Inc.

The countless car shows, festivals, fairs and events we have attended across the Commonwealth to help provide these opportunities for these kids would not be possible without your support. Every ticket purchased helps us continue providing opportunities every summer for kids through Trooper Island.

A special thank you to Bob Allen Motor Mall again for working with us on the purchase of this year’s raffle vehicle and helping us make it possible.

Congratulations to Trooper Justin Watts on being recognized at the 2026 Governor’s Occupant Protection Enforcement Awards Ceremony held today at the Hyatt Regency in Lexington.

Trooper Watts is being recognized for his dedication to occupant protection and his commitment to keeping Kentucky’s roads safe. We are proud of his hard work and dedication to serving the citizens within Post 7.
