Today, we proudly recognize two of our own, Lieutenant Taylor Turchick and Firefighter Christopher Willever, for taking on the steps at Max Fitness in full firefighter gear to honor the heroes and victims of September 11, 2001.
Every step they took represents the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the firefighters and first responders who climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center that morning — running toward danger while others were trying to escape.
343 FDNY firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice that day, along with countless other first responders and innocent lives.
Thank you to Max Fitness for organizing this tribute and giving our members the opportunity to honor those who gave everything.
Never Forget 🇺🇸
🇺🇸 HONORING 9/11 — NEVER FORGET
Today, two of our members, Taylor Turchick & Christopher Willever, took on the steps wearing full firefighter gear in remembrance of September 11, 2001.
Every step represents something far greater than a workout.
On 9/11, firefighters and first responders climbed the stairs of the World Trade Center carrying heavy equipment, heading toward danger while helping others escape to safety. Many never made it back home.
Today’s climb was about honoring their courage, sacrifice and service.
343 FDNY firefighters lost their lives that day, along with members of law enforcement, EMS and thousands of innocent people.
We remember those who were lost.
We honor those who ran toward danger.
We recognize the first responders who continue to serve their communities every day.
A huge amount of respect to Taylor Turchick & Christopher Willever for putting on the full gear and taking every one of those steps today. 🇺🇸🚒
