Not every event prep photo shoot goes according to plan… and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

As we get ready for tomorrow’s Fur Babies & The Fuzz event, we wanted to share some of the behind-the-scenes moments that made us laugh the hardest. Between distracted dogs, curious puppies, and officers doing whatever it took to get the perfect shot, there were plenty of outtakes along the way.

A huge thank you to Kennewick Police Department, Pasco Police Department, and Washington State Patrol for all the time, patience, and energy you put into making these photos happen. From coordinating schedules to showing up for photos and helping highlight the event on your own socials, your support means so much to our shelter, our community, and the animals in our care.

We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!

911 dispatchers are the unsung heroes of public safety, operating 24/7/365 to be the calm voice in the chaos. Whether it’s a 7 AM-7 PM or a 7 PM-7 AM shift, these 12-hour stretches demand unwavering concentration, handling emergencies, and sacrificing holidays and weekends to ensure our community stays safe. Often working consecutive days and covering overtime, they are truly the "first, first responders."

Because the dispatch center is more than a workplace—it is a second family—we want to thank Motorola for partnering with us to support our team. By treating each shift to Olive Garden, Motorola brought the sentiment "When you’re here, you’re family" to life, recognizing that our dispatchers deserve to be cared for just as they care for others. There is no better way to end a long week than by bringing this dedicated family together over a meal.
