TK-12 students can ride Metro buses and trains at no cost with a GoPass. Request your activation code using your LAUSD student account and activate your GoPass to ride at no cost. Here’s how to get started:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞
Use your LAUSD student account to request your 2026-27 GoPass activation code online.
𝟐. 𝐆𝐞𝐭 / 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝
Already have a GoPass TAP card? Keep using it. Need a physical card? Contact your school’s main office.
𝟑. 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬
Visit taptogo.net/gopass and enter your TAP card number and activation code. Wait at least one hour after activation before tapping to ride.
𝟒. 𝐓𝐚𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐞
Tap your activated GoPass when you board Metro buses and trains. Then sit back and enjoy the ride!
Already have a 2025-26 GoPass? Your current pass remains valid through September 30, 2026.

Welcome to the 2026-27 school year! As you adjust to the school routine, take a few simple steps to help your family feel informed, connected, and prepared.

1. Make a family preparedness plan. Having a family preparedness plan helps protect your family and provides peace of mind — no matter what happens. Talk with your family about who can care for your children in an emergency and identify a trusted backup caregiver.

2. Know where to find trusted information. Visit the We Are One website for resources such as our Family Preparedness Care Package, Family Resource Guide, upcoming Know Your Rights workshops, and other practical information for families.

3. Connect with support. If your family needs assistance with immigration, transportation, health, wellness, housing, or other school-related needs, call the LAUSD Family Hotline at (213) 443-1300, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

4. Attend a Know Your Rights Workshops. Join our virtual workshops offered on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month to learn about your rights and available resources. Visit weareone.lausd.org for more information.
