Support public education! In HD 16, there are no charter, voucher, or choice schools. There are a couple of parochial schools. Your tax dollars will be given to wealthy families that can take their kids to one of these schools. We don't have that option in our district. The ESA has proven to lead to massive fraud when they were tried in other states. All of this leads to kids in rural areas receiving less funding. Contact your representative at 317-232-9600 and senator at 317-232-9400. Demand you be heard and that they fund the education of YOUR child, grandchild, or neighbor's child.

This is the 12 year incumbent that I ran against. He couldn't be bothered to hear or consider any bills to the committee that he chairs. NONE! Please take a moment to read the article. The wetlands, rivers and streams, marshes, and nature preserves of HD 16 deserve our protection, but our Representative believed that making popcorn the official snack of Indiana was more important.

Public schools provide the education for 90% of Hoosier students. We must stop attacking teachers and public schools. This affects ALL OF US! Demand that your legislators fund public schools.

Make your voice heard. Scroll to the bottom of this link to send an email. Keep funding in our public schools. Stop allowing your tax dollars to be diverted to wealthy families so they can send their kids to private schools. When there is no funding left for public schools, they close up or consolidate or you have to pay more taxes if a referendum passes.
