You wouldn’t walk down this alley for a million dollars.

Our TCSO Reserve Deputies do it for free.

Day or night, Reserve Deputies volunteer their time to support the Tehama County Sheriff's Office and help keep our communities safe. They stand alongside full-time deputies, assist during emergencies, provide extra patrol coverage, and dedicate countless hours of service without receiving a paycheck.

Their commitment is driven by a desire to serve, protect, and give back to the community they call home.

We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the Red Bluff Round-Up Association for their generous $500 donation in support of our Reserve Deputy Program. Community partnerships like this help ensure our volunteers have the resources they need to continue serving Tehama County.

Thank you to all of our Reserve Deputies for your dedication, professionalism, and selfless service. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.

Contact Sgt. Levindofske at (530) 529-4172 for more information about our Reserve Deputy Program.

⚠️ RABIES FOUND IN BATS IN TEHAMA COUNTY ⚠️

Tehama County residents are urged to take precautions after rabid bats were recently found in the Antelope and Bend areas of Red Bluff.

Rabies is a deadly virus that can affect both animals and humans. Vaccinating your pets is the best protection for your family and community.

🐾 Important Reminders:
• Ensure your dogs, cats, and livestock are current on rabies vaccinations.
• If an unvaccinated animal comes into contact with an infected bat, the animal may be subject to a mandatory 6-month quarantine.
• Do NOT handle bats or allow pets to interact with them.
• If you or someone you know may have been exposed to a bat, seek medical attention immediately.

For vaccination information, contact:
• Tehama County Animal Care Center
• Your local veterinarian
• Tractor Supply vaccination clinics

Working together, we can help keep our pets, livestock, and community safe.

Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies were in the Paskenta and Rancho Tehama areas during the conclusion of the PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff event. Deputies provided extra patrol and assisted both PG&E crews and CAL FIRE personnel as powerlines were safely re-energized throughout the affected communities.

We appreciate the hard work and coordination between all agencies involved to help keep our residents safe during elevated fire weather conditions and the restoration process.

Thank you to our community members for your patience and cooperation during this event. Stay safe, Tehama County.
