I'm origina

lly from Southwest Virginia, but I was in a military family and we moved a lot! I moved to Chattanooga in 2007 and made Red Bank my forever home in 2010. After graduating from the Tennessee public school system, I earned my Bachelor's in English at East Tennessee State University and, many years later, I went back to school and obtained my Master's in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Helping and serving people has always been my passion and purpose in life, and I've been fortunate to be able to serve people in a diverse array of settings: mental health, healthcare, the justice system, public schools, and through many community organizations. I've also worked in retail and in office settings, so I know how important it is to hear others' needs and perspectives and work with them to find common ground. I strive always to be a good listener, to be kind, to be welcoming, and to be empathetic, and I will work tirelessly for my community. My purpose here was and is not to win a seat on the Red Bank Commission to help myself, but to be a voice for all of my friends and neighbors here in Red Bank.

Truly heartbroken today over the loss of our beloved Dolly ๐Ÿ’” Growing up in Appalachia, hearing her music, watching her on the screen, and witnessing the beautiful legacy she created merely by existing as the genuinely good, true, and loving soul she was has left an indelible mark on me. On all of us. We are better because of her.

We will always love you, sweet Dolly. Rest in peace ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฆ‹

Rest in Peace to the Queen of Appalachia, Dolly Parton. A woman whose life and legacy are impossible to justly summarize in one simple IG description. I hope she has found peace, and is reunited with her beloved Carl, wherever it is our souls depart to when our mortal journey on earth comes to an end.

๐ŸŒฎ IMPORTANT PSA: Taco Bell is BACK in Red Bank, TN! ๐ŸŒฎ

As your mayor, I am pleased to announce the long-awaited return of our beloved Taco Bell, the best in the nation (please @ me). Through months of demolition, building permits, construction, and inspections, we waited. Did we cry into our cold snacks at home when we couldn't get our ? Probably. Did we go to another Taco Bell in the meantime? How dare you. Did we gaze longingly at our Taco Bell app, wishing we could place our order for pickup at 2309 Dayton Boulevard? So many times. Did I dress to match our new Taco Bell for my first visit back? As if I could do it any other way.

Thanks to the Hamilton County Health Dept TN for their efforts in awarding the Red Bank Taco Bell a perfect score on their first health inspection.

Any questions or comments can be directed to me, the unofficial Red Bank Taco Bell ambassador. Now get out there and LIVE MรS ๐Ÿ’œ
