Thank you to everyone who came out to vote in Bridgewater and Raynham today. I've already learned so much over the last few months, and I plan to continue to learn as I advocate for our students and school community.

Thank you BTV for inviting me to participate in the School Committee Candidates Forum. It's vital we keep an ongoing dialogue about the current and future state of our schools. My efforts will focus on how the district and towns can better proactively work together as partners to ensure a sustainable culture of excellence within BRRSD that also gives residents of both communities the confidence that their tax dollars are being appropriately utilized.

I was overly exuberant in a recent Facebook post about the Planning Board race. It was grounded in some misconceptions, and I have learned I need to make sure I properly research, verify certain things, and have more conversations before taking to my keyboard. I am going to be more careful in the future. I have decided to delete it. I encourage everyone to take a hard look at the Planning Board race. I am doing the same. It seems like we have two qualified candidates, which is the most important thing that can be asked in an important town race which has a huge impact on our community.

I am pleased to share that I've collected well beyond the 50 required signatures from Raynham voters for my nomination papers. Many of you reached out offering to sign. Please know if I didn't get to you, your support is greatly appreciated. Hearing from so many neighbors and community residents has only served to reaffirm that this endeavor is one worth the time and energy it will require!! I've had so many great conversations about the state of and future of our school district over the last week. We have a lot of work to do!! But first, tomorrow morning, I'll visit the Town Clerk to turn in my papers to secure my spot on April's ballot!

Tomorrow morning after I put my third grader on the bus - something I am fortunate to do nearly every day - I'll visit Raynham Town Hall to pull papers to officially become a candidate in this spring's election for Bridgewater-Raynham School Committee.

To secure my spot on the ballot, I need to collect at least 50 signatures from local registered voters. Please drop me a like, comment, DM, text, or email if you'd be willing to sign my nomination papers this week. I will get in touch to arrange a time I can stop by! While papers don't need to be returned until the very end of February, my own personal goal is to return them to Town Hall by next Monday.

I'll share more about why I'm running over time, but the TLDR? We can do better for our students and our teachers. They deserve better and the status quo simply won't cut it anymore. We need to take a long, hard look at where we are today and the trajectory we're on, even if it ruffles some feathers.
