I had so many wonderful conversations with neighbors, met some incredible people, and, if we're being honest, Pixel completely stole the show. My campaign pug was much more popular than I was. 😂

Good day at the South Dakota Democratic Party Convention in Sioux Falls. Delegates from across the state came together to adopt our platform, debate resolutions, and prepare for the work ahead!

South Dakota families deserve developmental disability services that works for the people depending on them. 💛

I was recently appointed to the Developmental Disability Service Delivery Committee, and I’m excited to continue the conversations that started during the 2025 CSP Summer Study Session.

Community Support Providers are essential to families across our state. The work they do helps South Dakotans live with dignity independence and support in their own communities. I’m looking forward to listening learning and working on practical solutions that strengthen these services for the long haul.

The future of healthcare in South Dakota is in very good hands! 💛

I loved getting to see students share their research advocacy work and ideas for strengthening the health of our communities. These conversations matter and so does encouraging the next generation of healthcare leaders right here in South Dakota.

Thank you to the students faculty and organizers who made this such a meaningful event.

Our public schools matter deeply to me. 💛

Last Wednesday’s conversation about education reminded me why I keep doing this work. Seeing teachers students and community members show up engaged and hopeful honestly meant a lot.

Thank you to the Rapid City Public School Foundation for hosting and to Carrie Huber and Logan Mays for leading such a thoughtful discussion.

I spent more than a decade in the classroom and now work for teachers across South Dakota. I know how much heart our educators bring to this work every single day. Our students deserve leaders who stay focused on supporting them and strengthening our public schools.

Thanks to Elevate Rapid City and the Black Hills Home Builders Association for hosting tonight’s candidate forum at the Dahl Arts Center. I appreciated the chance to speak, answer questions, and connect with folks from across Rapid City. 💛

Thursday night at the Dahl Arts Center 💛

I had a chance to share a recap of this legislative session with local constituents and walk through some of the work we’ve been focused on:
- Bills that passed, including protections for living donors and updates supporting small businesses
- Education funding and school construction proposals that didn’t advance but will carry forward
- Ongoing work around mining oversight and water protection in the Black Hills
- Local investments like airport infrastructure and revenue staying closer to communities
- The issues I heard about most from you this session

I also shared *some* of the priorities I’ll keep working on moving forward. Thank you thank you thank you! to everyone who came out and spent the evening together.
