Boys Track
Karter Groll, Rich (Sr.)
Karter Groll has played a big part in state championships already this school year for Rich’s football and boys basketball teams, and on the track this spring, he’s making big contributions as well.
Last week at the Skyhawk Invite at Spanish Fork, Groll finished first in the discus (127’09.50), third in the shot put (43’01) and fourth in the javelin (140’05). All three surpassed state qualifying marks.
He also ran a leg in the 4x400 relay.
“Karter Groll works hard and is a leader. He is willing to do whatever is asked. Along with throwing the shot, jav and discus, he is willing to do any other events. He loves to complete. He is a great athlete to coach and fun to be around,” said Rich coach Glenn Smith.
Groll’s top throws this year in the shot put and discus rank in the top four in 1A this spring.
