The Association of State Dam Safety Officials(ASDSO) held their annual conference at the Raleigh Convention Center this past week. Randleman Lake Dam was elected by ASDSO to be visited by a group as part of the conference. Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority hosted this group on September 3rd, by providing a tour of the dam, followed by a lunch at the Water Plant.

It is the desire of Piedmont Triad Regional Water Authority’s administration to provide a safe and fun environment for all of the public who visit Randleman Lake Marina, as well as to protect the wildlife and the watershed from harm.

Starting July 1, 2026 when the water and/or air temperature exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit the following fishing tournament formats will need to be used.

1. Catch-Photo-Release Tournament (Preferred)

2. Hourly weigh-in Tournament (Accepted)

If you are having a fishing tournament, the on-duty Lake Warden and/or Marina Attendant needs to be contacted before the tournament begins, so that the format and organization of the tournament can be discussed.
