It’s June 1st, and we’re excited to highlight this month’s Employee Spotlight, Stephanie Smith!
Stephanie has been a part of the LVCC family for 6 years, serving as a Lead Preschool Teacher for our 2.5 and 3 year old class. She shares that the highlight of her day is greeting the kids in the morning. However, when she’s not in the classroom, Stephanie has many hobbies she enjoys. Mrs. Steffie loves writing, hiking, traveling, and enjoying nature in her free time.

What’s your favorite program or event to work on at the center?
I love foam day because it’s so much fun watching the excitement on the kid’s faces.
What’s your dream job (other than this one, of course!)?
I would love to be a children’s librarian because reading books that I can incorporate active movement into is one of the highlights of my job.
What’s your favorite way to spend a day off in the area?
Either relaxing on the deck or hiking in the woods.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I have always been fascinated with Ancient Greece and would love to explore the Greek Ruins someday.
What’s your go-to snack or drink during the workday?
What Dreams May Come because it’s the ultimate love story.
What’s your favorite movie or book and why?
I reread the Alchemist every couple of years because it keeps me grounded and reminds me to follow my path.
