Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call.

We also honor those who continue to put their lives on the line each day in service to their communities.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Gate B32 and C19 were the departure gates for American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 from Logan, respectively. Some passengers were awake in this pre-dawn hour, getting ready to fly—either to connect to their final destinations or to travel to New York City.

Lives and futures were changed forever. May their souls rest in peace.

Now, September 11, 2026- then, 25 years ago, we will never forget as
We mourn the lives lost on September 11th, 2001.
343-firefighters
71-police officers
8-paramedics
55-military personnel
2,438-civilians

Since then, additional lives have been lost in these same categories due to illnesses related to 9/11.

We may never fully comprehend the senseless evil of that day, but we are not defined by it. Together, we are the United States of America—and we are the light that should shine in this world.
We are Manhattan. We are upstate New York. We are Provincetown. We are Boston. We are Hollywood. We are Orlando. We are Charleston. We are Phoenix. We are Bristol. We are Columbus.
We are country road—and we are “one nation, indivisible.”
America the beautiful- may we heal and gain the strength to persevere, and to those of us who still mourn and suffer because of that date, we are with you, and we here at the Provincetown Fire Department will never forget. One country, one community.

Mulch Safety.

Mulch is combustible and can easily catch fire. This is the time of year when mulch fires are on the rise. Be familiar with the regulations for spreading, storing, and manufacturing mulch and stay fire-safe this spring: http://ow.ly/vFuH50IwCyE.
