Join us tonight, watch the RI premiere of Earth’s Greatest Enemy, a new film by Abby Martin of the documenting the environmental effects of the US military.

Snacks will be provided. A short discussion will follow the film. Free and open to the public!

Self-determination: Freedom of a people to determine the way in which they shall be governed and whether or not they shall be self­-governed.

We believe in the power of our communities' stories, lived experiences, and ancestral knowledge and wisdom to create solutions and inform decision-making. Traditional academic research often affirms what our communities know, feel, and experience every day, providing complimentary evidence bases.

Our work at REJC lives at the intersection of these realities and our mission is simple, to make sure community priorities get translated into real, tangible policy solutions.

This work includes all of us and all issues, or it serves none of us. That's intersectionality - and that's the path to Buen Vivir (all of us living well, without living at the expense of others or the planet).

Democracy has never been guaranteed and was not given freely, or without a fight but we must be committed to the struggle.
