📢 Why I’m Running: Accountability & Excellence for PISD
To my neighbors, friends, and the Prosper ISD community:
My name is Allen Rountree, and I am running for the PISD School Board, Place 2.
As a dad with a young daughter at Rucker Elementary, I have more than just an interest in our schools, I have a permanent stake in their success. My daughter will be in this district for many years to come, and like you, I want to ensure those years are defined by excellence, safety, and a board that truly represents the community's voice.
I love Prosper ISD. We would choose this district again every single day. But being a "Great District" isn't an end goal that once attained exists with permanence. Greatness requires constant maintenance and reevaluation; it’s a standard that requires constant work, transparency, and most importantly, accountability.
My Commitment to You:
• Transparency First: I’ve watched our district closely for years. We need a culture where accountability isn't a buzzword, but a requirement in every department and every decision.
• Empowering Teachers: Our educators are the backbone of our success. I will work to ensure every teacher feels valued, supported, and equipped to focus on what they do best: teaching our children.
• Student-Centered Governance: Every vote I cast will be filtered through one question: Is this in the best interest of our students?
• True Board Oversight: I am a firm believer in the fundamental structure of school governance: The Superintendent works for the Board, not the other way around. The Board’s role is to set policy and reflect the will of the community, and I will ensure that balance is respected.
We are a great district. But with the right adjustments and a renewed commitment to transparency, there is no limit to how much better we can be.
I’m not just asking for your vote; I’m asking to earn it. I look forward to meeting you at upcoming meet-and-greets, and I invite you to reach out with your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Let’s build a better PISD, together.
