Wishing our very own, Monica, a very happy birthday. She has been awesome in her role here since taking over the administrative professional position.

Also a very special thanks to Chrystina, owner of Patty's Cake Bakery for making and delivering us an AMAZING cake for Monica! It was a big hit. Super delicious. Give it a try for your next party! Thanks Chrystina!

A suspected DUI driver swerved into oncoming traffic, nearly striking a PPPD cruiser. Upon stopping the vehicle and investigating further, the male was told he was going to be placed under arrest. In an effort to avoid being handcuffed, he immediately put his hands in his pockets and said "no, not happening". Just so everyone knows- it happened.

We would like to thank our administrative assistant, Monica, for making us these delicious, addictive brownies today. Not sure what "Happy 420" means but we believe it's because the 420 bridge hasn't been hit by a truck in a while. Anyway, thanks, Monica!

We were recently informed that Anthony Miguel, the defendant in the recent distraction burglary of a senior citizen was taken into custody in Phoenix, AZ. He is facing similar charges there and is awaiting extradition to Delco. Still at large is his co-conspirator, Tasha Delmaro of NJ (see Chief Dave Madonna- Prospect Park Police post from 9/21/22)
This is a great step towards justice for a local senior citizen.

Congratulations to Marykay Cunningham on her retirement! 31 years of dedicated service to the PPPD and borough. We were dispatched for a suspicious male with a gun outside one of our local businesses. Upon speaking to the male it was determined that he was carrying a pellet gun to defend himself in case someone had a real gun. We explained to him that this probably wouldn't work out like he thinks it would, and that shouting "pew-pew" while pointing it probably wouldn't add much value either.

PPPD received a call to speak to a woman who had lent her cat out to a friend 3months ago and the friend has not yet returned the cat. Upon contacting the victim she stated she was just going to work it out with the other party and that police weren't needed. Guess all's well that ends meow.

PPPD stopped a woman who went through a stop sign. She complained that she didn't know she had to stop because the stop sign didn't appear on her GPS. She was given a citation and told that real people who may be crossing the street don't actually appear on her phone either.

Thank you to the guy who contacted us to help him cross the street and into his house because he was too intoxicated to make it on his own. Happy ending.
