The Prospect Park School District kicked off our Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) program with our teachers. To model our weekly drawings, each teacher’s name was placed on a virtual spinning wheel and the following teachers’ names were chosen:
- Ms. Dabrowski: PreK
- Ms. Adames: Kindergarten
- Ms. Lombardi: Grade 3
- Ms. Walls: Grades 5 and 6 (not pictured)

Each teacher won a huge box of teacher supplies courtesy of the Burger King Foundation.

Congratulations to each winner!

We invited our School #1 community to wear superhero costumes, and our Middle School population to wear superhero shirts.

We have had a great week celebrating the Week of Respect.

Today’s theme was to show that “Being a Friend Is No Sweat.” We asked everyone to represent this by wearing either a sweatshirt or comfy clothes.

Tomorrow, we will culminate the week by honoring Super H.E.R.O. (Help Everyone Respect Others) Day. Students in Prek through sixth grade can wear hero consumes and middle school students can wear hero t-shirts.

Each day the Prospect Park School District is inviting staff and students to participate in a theme to help fight against bullying.

Today, we invited everyone to “Team Up Against Bullying” by wearing their favorite team’s jersey or t-shirt. Most of our students and staff joined in on the fun. Check out some of the images.

Tomorrow, we will “Put Bullying to Bed” and have invited everyone to wear pajamas for our student early dismissal day.

What an awesome day at the Prospect Park School District. The American Heart Association and Giants Play60 spearheaded an amazing event featuring 5 players from the NY Giants who came to School #1 and played 60 minutes of various activities with our fifth and sixth grade students. We even received a $1,500 grant to go towards our physical education department courtesy of Oakley. It was a great time had by all.
