We have had two incidents in the last 24 hours that endangered township employees who were working on township roads that had been posted “Road Closed” to remove fallen trees. The disregard of road closure is unacceptable. It is also concerning that someone had chose to knock down road closure signs.

The township board has instructed employees to immediately notify Peoria County Sheriff's Office of any future incidents. The board will pursue prosecution to the fullest extent possible.
