Avoid the snow that is on its way. Come vote today at the County Clerk’s Office in the courthouse from 9AM to 12PM. It may be cold and gloomy outside, but it is warm and bright in the office. Come see us!

Important information for vote-by-mail voters 🚨
Mail postmark rules have changed. Ballots are now postmarked when processed, not when you drop them in the mailbox—this can cause 1–2 day delays.
If you’re returning your ballot close to Election Day:
• Request a manual postmark at the post office
• Use a secure drop box
• Deliver directly to your election office
Don’t risk a late postmark. Make sure your vote counts. 🗳️

01/17/2026

As a result of recent changes by the United States Postal Service, the County Clerk’s strongly recommend all Vote-By-Mail Ballots be placed in the mail to be returned to the County Clerk’s Office no later than March 10, 2026, for this upcoming March 17th Illinois Primary Election.

I recommend any ballots returning to our office after March 10th, 2026, be hand delivered to my office in Princeton or if after office hours put in the drop box on the west side of the courthouse rather than be placed in the mail. Ballots for the March 17th Illinois Primary Election will be mailed out February 5th, 2026.

Early Voting/Curb Side Voting starts Feb 5, 2026 in Princeton at the Bureau County Clerks Office. This service is for anyone. (Interested in Curb Side call 815-875-2014 and let us know you are on your way)
