🚗🧼 W is for WASH! 🧼🚗

Our preschoolers got to get their hands wet today as we explored the letter W with a fun and hands-on sensory activity! 💦

They washed our toy cars in warm, soapy water, using their hands and little tools to scrub away the dirt. 🫧🧽 It was a wonderful way to explore textures, water, bubbles, and cause-and-effect while reinforcing our W is for Wash vocabulary!

✨ Learning through play is always more fun—and we have some extra-clean toy cars to show for it! 🚘✨

🌋❤️ V is for VOLCANO! ❤️🌋

Our preschoolers had an explosively fun day of learning as we explored the letter Vv and learned all about volcanoes! 🔥🌋

🎨 Our volcano craft was packed with fine motor practice! Little hands worked hard to:
✏️ Draw a V shape
✂️ Practice cutting
🤲 Crumple paper to create texture
🖌️ Paint their handprints to create the erupting lava and flames
🖍️ Color lava flowing down the side of their volcanoes

The result was a collection of creative, colorful volcano keepsakes that our preschoolers can be proud of! ❤️🧡💛

🌋 We also watched a short, informative video to learn about what volcanoes really are, how they form, and what happens when they erupt. Our little scientists were fascinated!

🔥 And, of course, we couldn’t learn about volcanoes without playing one of our classroom favorites… THE FLOOR IS LAVA! 🌋😂 Our preschoolers had a blast jumping, moving, and working their gross motor skills while pretending the floor was covered in hot lava!

From letter recognition and fine motor skills to science, movement, and imaginative play, V is definitely for a VERY fun day of learning! 🌋❤️

✨Uu is for Underpants AND Unicorns! 🩲🦄✨

Today our preschoolers had so much fun learning the letter Uu and exploring both the short U and long U sounds!

📚 We started with the silly story Dinosaurs Love Underpants and then put our creativity to work by making our very own silly underpants hats! 🦖🩲 These were a fun way to practice the short U sound in underpants.

🦄✨ Then we switched gears and explored the long U sound by creating our own Unique Unicorns! Our little artists cut, glued, and drew to design unicorns that were as unique as they are!

From underpants to unicorns, our Uu day was filled with phonics, creativity, laughter, and lots of learning! 💕📖✂️🎨

Uu is for learning, Uu is for fun, and Uu is for UNIQUE! 🌈🦄💫

🌟 Affirmation Tuesday! 🌟

Today our preschoolers took a moment to look in the mirror and remind themselves just how AMAZING they are! 🪞💖

One by one, our little learners looked at their reflections and practiced saying positive affirmations such as:

✨ I am happy.
✨ I am kind.
✨ I am beautiful.
✨ I am silly.

Watching their little faces light up as they spoke encouraging words to themselves was absolutely priceless! 🥰

We’re teaching our children that the way we talk to ourselves matters. Building confidence, self-love, and a positive self-image starts at an early age. 💕🌈

Because sometimes the most important person we need to hear cheering us on… is ourselves! 🪞✨

🌻 S is for Sunflowers! 🌻

Our preschoolers had a sun-sational time creating their very own sunflower masterpieces! 💛🌻

Using bubble wrap and toilet paper tubes, our little artists explored different textures and painting techniques to bring their sunflowers to life. They used bubble wrap to create the beautiful textured center and toilet paper tubes to make their bright yellow petals. 🎨✨

We love watching our preschoolers get creative while learning about the letter S and the beauty of sunflowers! 🌻💛

Learning is always more fun when we can get a little messy! 🖌️😊

🤖🎨 Rr is for ROBOT! 🎨🤖

Our preschoolers put their STEM skills AND creativity to work today as they built their very own drawing robots! 🤖✏️

Using pool noodles, markers, rubber bands, and an electric toothbrush, our little engineers experimented with movement, balance, and cause-and-effect to create robots that could draw pictures for them! 🖍️📄

As the robots buzzed and moved across the paper, they created fun, one-of-a-kind designs! 🌈✨ The children were able to see how a little science and engineering can turn ordinary materials into something AMAZING!

🤠🎀✨ A DAY OF DOLLY! ✨🎀🤠

Today we celebrated the one and only Dolly Parton with a day full of music, creativity, kindness, and a little country sparkle! 💕🎶

👗✨ We dressed fancy and brought our Dolly-inspired style!
🤠🎨 We made our very own cowboy & cowgirl hats to complete our country look!
🎶💃 We danced and had a whole lot of fun singing along to Dolly’s music!
📚🌈 We read the beautiful book A Coat of Many Colors, learning about Dolly’s childhood and the special meaning behind her coat.
🍪🍰 We enjoyed delicious treats together as a classroom family, sharing smiles, laughter, and sweet memories!

Most importantly, we talked about Dolly’s incredible love for children and her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and grow. ❤️📖

Through her Imagination Library, Dolly has helped put books into the hands of millions of children—and we were especially excited to share that some of those children are right here in our own classroom! 🥰📚✨

What a wonderful reminder that something as simple as a book can inspire a child’s imagination and open a world of possibilities. 🌎💭

Today was filled with music, learning, friendship, delicious treats, and lots of Dolly-style fun! 💕🤠🎶📚

Because in our classroom, learning can be a little bit fancy, a little bit country, and ALWAYS full of heart! ❤️

🍕💗 P is for PIZZA! 💗🍕

Today was a delicious day of learning in Pre-K! Our preschoolers had so much fun making—and then eating—their very own pizzas! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳🍕

Our simple and delicious recipe included:
🥯 1 refrigerated biscuit, pressed and flattened slightly
🍅 Pizza sauce
🧀 Shredded cheese
🍕 Pepperoni

Each student got to create their pizza just the way they wanted it! They spread the sauce, sprinkled on the cheese, added their favorite toppings, and proudly enjoyed their delicious creations at lunchtime. 😋❤️

Along the way, we practiced following directions, making choices, building fine-motor skills, and of course, learning about the letter Pp! 🔤✨

P is for Pizza… and learning can be DELICIOUS! 🍕📚❤️

🦉🎨 Oo is for Owl! Pre-K is a HOOT! 🎨🦉

Our preschoolers had a hoot of a time getting creative with colors, paint, and teamwork! 💚💛🧡❤️💙

We began by experimenting with mixing paint colors and discovering all the fun new colors we could create. 🌈🎨 The students absolutely loved mixing their color concoctions then sharing their unique creations with friends to paint contrasting eyes for their owls! 👀🦉

After helping create the owl shapes, our little artists painted each one with their own special color combinations and personalities. When they were finished, we brought all of our colorful owls together to create an adorable classroom door display that says:

🍂 PRE-K IS A HOOT! 🍂

We also explored an important early literacy concept—how the sound of O can change when it is followed by another letter. We talked about how O + W = /ow/, as in OWL! 🦉🔤

What a fun way to combine phonics, color exploration, creativity, and collaboration all in one activity! 💕🎨

🔢🎨 Nn is for NUMBERS! 🎨🔢

Our preschoolers had so much fun exploring numbers with a Number Collage! 🧡💛💚💙

We colored and cut out colorful numbers and glued them onto our collages, glued numbers found in everyday print, added fun number stickers, and even used number cookie cutters for stamping! ✂️🖍️🔢⭐️

This activity was a fun way to strengthen number recognition, counting awareness, fine-motor skills, creativity, and print awareness while learning that numbers are all around us! 👀🔢

We loved seeing how each child created their own unique number masterpiece! 💕🎨
