Our hearts are full of gratitude to everyone who helped LiveSafe raise more than $60,000 to support survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Thank you to the MDJ for helping shine a light on our incredible partners who bring dignity, compassion and support to our friends, our neighbors and our community when they need it most.

LiveSafe Resources hosted one of Atlanta’s premier fashion events, A Fashion Affair, on Aug. 11 at The Foxglove in Marietta.

This Fourth of July was memorable because it reminded me why I love the United States.

I love that We the People hold the power to choose leaders who reflect our highest aspirations of freedom anchored in justice. I love a nation that continues to strive toward the promise that every person is created equal and where ordinary people can demand that promise be honored. I love a country that protects the freedom to be who we are, to love whom we love, to speak our minds, to worship according to our conscience, and to defend rights that belong not to government, but to the people.

America has never been perfect. It has always been a work in progress. Yet generation after generation, people have believed that tomorrow can be better than today, that together we can build a more perfect Union.

Our greatest strength has never been that we all look alike, think alike, or come from the same place. Our strength is found in the beautiful diversity of our stories, our experiences, and our shared commitment to liberty, justice, and one another.

That is the America worth celebrating.

The Cobb Solicitor General’s Office was proud to join our community in celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Our nation’s history is one of struggle, perseverance, resilience, and hope; a testament to generations who have continued striving toward the ideals of freedom, justice, and unity.

Those same values are reflected in our team. Our diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives make us stronger, and our shared commitment to serving Cobb County is what unites us.

Celebrating our nation’s freedom is always meaningful because freedom has never been free. It’s a time to honor those who made our liberties possible, celebrate our community, and appreciate the many blessings we share.

A heartfelt thank you to the many helping hands that came together to create our parade float. Your creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm have made this holiday even more festive and memorable.

It was our distinct pleasure to host Representative Campbell this week and discuss the important work taking place under the Gold Dome. I am grateful for her leadership and steadfast advocacy in the Georgia House. Her commitment to expanding access to healthcare, advancing research and improving healthcare for women, and ensuring every child has access to high-quality, free preschool reflects a vision for a stronger Georgia. Investing in early childhood education is one of the best investments we can make in our children’s future and our state’s long-term success.

The Cobb Solicitor’s Office was honored to attend the ribbon cutting for the NAMI Drop-In Center in Cobb County. We are grateful to the community leaders, response teams, and therapists who are helping expand access to mental health services.

Together, we will work to close gaps in care, provide support before crises occur, and lift up those experiencing loneliness, grief, and despair.

Thank you, Chairwoman Lisa Cupid, for inviting our office to take part in this important Juneteenth forum. The healthcare discussion was both powerful and illuminating, underscoring the urgent need for a healthcare system that delivers equitable care to every person and the forum on criminal justice was equally powerful reminding us of the need to uphold a justice system that prioritizes fairness, dignity, and equal treatment for all.
