🌍International Student Spotlight: Robin Baransi 🇮🇱🎾
From Israel to Shawnee State University, Robin is balancing academics and athletics while building his future on and off the court. Here’s his story:
💬 Why did you choose Shawnee State and your major?
“I chose Shawnee State because it gave me the opportunity to compete at a high level in tennis while also focusing on my academic goals. The balance between athletics and education was really important to me. I decided to pursue Accounting and Business Finance because I’ve always been interested in understanding how money works, how businesses grow, and how to build financial stability for the future.”
💬 How has being a student-athlete shaped your experience?
“Being both a student and a tennis player has helped me stay disciplined and manage my time better. It’s made me more organized and helped me adjust to life in the U.S. faster while meeting a lot of people through the team.”
💬 What motivates you every day?
“My family is a big part of my motivation. They’ve supported me and sacrificed a lot to help me get here. I want to make them proud, and that pushes me to keep improving every day, both in tennis and in school.
