YSB had a great time attending the 2026 Jay County Chainsaw Carving Invitational!

The Jay County Chainsaw Carving Event is a unique experience. Throughout the weekend, spectators have the opportunity to watch skilled artists take ordinary logs and, with incredible precision and creativity, transform them into something extraordinary.

YSB was honored to serve as the 2026 event sponsor and to be part of a weekend that brought talented chainsaw artists, vendors, and community members together at the Jay County Fairgrounds.

We are especially grateful to Myles Nasby and the other participating carvers for donating a portion of the auction proceeds to YSB. Their willingness to share the proceeds from their hard work is a wonderful example of community spirit and generosity.

Our blog post today was written by YSB Director PJ Corwin. Click below to read more, and view our photo gallery of the event!

YSB Staff had a great time at the 2026 Youth Worker Development Retreat!

Held at the beautiful Country Lake Christian Retreat in southern Indiana, the retreat provided an opportunity for youth-serving professionals from across Indiana to step away from their day-to-day responsibilities, learn from one another, build stronger teams, and take time for personal renewal.

YSB is grateful to the Indiana Youth Services Association for providing this valuable opportunity for youth-serving professionals across Indiana. We believe that when we invest in our staff, we strengthen our ability to invest in the children, youth, and families we serve.

YSB recently held an agency outing for employees and family at the Portland Water Park!

YSB Director PJ Corwin wrote about the event in today's blog:

"We couldn't have asked for a better day! With sunny skies and beautiful weather, everyone had the opportunity to cool off in the pool, relax, and spend quality time together.

After a fun-filled morning at the water park, everyone gathered back at the YSB for a cookout. The delicious food, great conversations, and plenty of laughter made for a wonderful afternoon. It was a chance for coworkers and their families to connect in a different setting and build the relationships that help make YSB such a supportive place to work."
