NEW BATTLESHIP PLAYGROUND OPENING AT VETERANS PARK!
The City of Porterville invites the community to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of the new Battleship Playground at Veterans Park (1501 W. Henderson Ave.) on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

The new children’s playground was designed as a signature addition to Veterans Park and serves as a tribute to the community’s military heritage while creating a fun and engaging recreational space for families. The project is in conjunction with the celebration of Porterville’s 100-year anniversary as a charter city and America’s 250-year anniversary.

The custom-designed playground features a military battleship theme that complements the setting and character of Veterans Park. The playground includes a variety of interactive and recreational elements for children of all ages. The community is encouraged to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and celebrate this exciting new addition to Veterans Park.
