This past weekend, the Town of Porter Board of Trustees hosted a special Dedication Ceremony celebrating recent improvements to the Town Hall building and recognizing several families whose generosity, support and contributions have helped shape the community throughout the years.

Even with the rainy weather, it turned out to be a beautiful day filled with stories, memories, laughter and community. One of the sweetest reminders of what small towns are all about was two little boys, playing in the mud puddles outside of Town Hall while generations gathered together under the newly constructed pavilion. It was a simple moment, but one that perfectly reflected the heart of Porter - honoring our past while looking toward the future generations who will one day carry these traditions forward.

This ceremony was only the beginning. The Board of Trustees looks forward to continuing efforts to recognize individuals and families who have made a lasting impact on the Town of Porter. More dedications and recognitions are planned for the future and we welcome suggestions and names of those who deserve to be honored and remembered as part of our town's story.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended and helped make the day so meaningful.

🇺🇸 TOWN OF PORTER MEMORIAL BENCH PROGRAM 🇺🇸

Honor a special person, family member, veteran, organization, or community group by purchasing a memorial bench with a personalized plaque.

Each bench is $400, and the Town of Porter will furnish the plaque.

These benches will create a lasting tribute while adding beauty and a place of rest throughout our community for years to come.

We already have a few of these placed in Town and they look amazing.

The Porter Public Works Authority is proud to announce the purchase of two new pieces of equipment to better serve our community—a Kubota excavator and a Kubota compact loader.

This equipment will support water, sewer, and infrastructure projects across the community and will be operated by the Town’s Public Works Department as they continue working to serve Porter residents efficiently and responsibly with public resources.

We appreciate the support of our Town of Porter Trustees and the hard work of our public works crew, who keep things running behind the scenes each day.
