Due to weather conditions, the pavement restoration project has been slightly delayed. Work on Kendall Street will continue on Wednesday 9/16, and work on SE Horstman Road is expected to be completed on Friday 9/18, Monday 9-21, and Tuesday 9/22.

During this work period, SE Horstman Road will be down to one lane with flaggers directing traffic. Please expect delays and allow for extra travel time.

Two nights of lane and ramp closures are scheduled for westbound Highway 16 in Port Orchard tonight and tomorrow night, as work continues on a multi-highway fish passage project.

The next portion of the pavement restoration project will cover Melcher St and Kendall St. As shown on the maps, preparation will take place on Wednesday 9/9 and Thursday 9/10, and paving will be on Friday 9/11 and Monday 9/14. All work will occur between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM each day. During this work period, parts of these roads will be down to one lane with flaggers directing traffic. Please expect slight delays and allow for extra travel time.

The next pavement restoration project will be on Bay St and is scheduled for Tuesday 9/8 from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The work zone along Bay St will span from Olney Ave to Arnold Ave. During this work period, Bay St will be down to one lane with flaggers directing traffic. Bay Street/SR 166 Roadside Maintenance

The City of Port Orchard's Public Works Department will be performing maintenance along Bay St (SR166) from Tuesday 9/8 through Thursday 9/17, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM each day. During this time, Bay St will be reduced to one lane, and flaggers will be on site to safely guide traffic through the work zone.

Crews will be completing seasonal maintenance to prepare the roadway and surrounding areas for the colder, wetter months ahead. This work includes ditching, overhead clearing, vegetation management, and other improvements that will help ensure a smoother transition into fall and winter.

Please expect delays and drive cautiously in work zones. Thank you for your patience as we complete this work!
