St. Clair Co. Sheriff's Office Explorer Post #2004 Explorer Post #2004 is an educational program for high school and college students that want to learn about law enforcement.

The SCCSO Explorer Post was formed in 1978 and eventually dissolved in the late 1990s. The post was reborn in 2019 by members of the Sheriff's Office who were previously Explorers growing up. Explorers meet every Tuesday evening for two hour training meetings throughout the school year. Some of our training topics include traffic stops, officer safety, TCCC, building searches, and physical trainin

g just to name a few. Participating in this program will give the high school or college student a first hand look into a law enforcement career. Please be aware this page is used by students in the program and their families. Please keep posts appropriate for high school/college students and relevant to the program. Its time for our fundraiser announcement.....

This year the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Explorers want to give you the opportunity to ride to school in our SRT MRAP! All proceeds will go directly to the Explorer Post to cover the cost of equipment and youth training academy tuition.

Tickets will be sold at the Doughnuts and Deputies event or online for $5/ticket or $10/3 tickets. Online entries must be submitted through our facebook messenger. The entry must include your name and phone number. Cash or venmo payment () will be accepted.

The drawing will be November 1, 2024 and the ride will take place week of November 4.

See you on the 18th!

The school year is about to begin and so is our 2024/25 training year. We are seeking new Explorers that are interested in a law enforcement career.

If you are a high school/college student between the ages of 15 and 21 years old, come check us out. An informational meeting will be held on September 12th at 6:00pm in the SCCSO second floor training room. Students under 18 years old MUST BRING A PARENT OR GUARDIAN. Please RVSP with Dep.
