On 24 February 2023, we were honored to be able to send our Guardian Brass to perform at the Opening Ceremonies of the Wounded Warrior Trials at Nellis AFB.

The Wounded Warrior Trials is a paralympic-style competition that is part of the Air Force Wounded Warrior program. Guest speaker for the Opening Ceremony was Lt. Gen. Caroline Miller (Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel and Services, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia)

The Air National Guard Band of the West Coast is welcoming our incoming Commander, Major Silas Huff, in a upcoming performance on Sunday Feb 5th at 2 PM. Major Huff hails from Topeka, KS where he is Director of Orchestras at Washburn University, Conductor of the Topeka Youth Symphony, Music Director of the Colorado Pops Orchestra, and Co-Director of the International Conducting Institute.
Previously a U.S Army Music Officer, Major Huff held positions of Associate Conductor of The U.S. Army Band “Pershing's Own” Concert Band (Washington, D.C.), Director of The U.S. Army Orchestra (D.C.), U.S. Army Central Music Liaison Officer in the Middle East, and most recently the 44th Army Band "New Mexico's Own" (Albuquerque, NM)
