Amackertown Volunteer Fire Department is honored to announce our official integration with North Pearl River County Fire & Rescue, effective December 2025

Stations 31 and 32 are now part of District 3 within NPRCFR. This transition represents a significant step forward in strengthening emergency services for our community. Through this unified structure, District 3 operates with the full support of all districts, allowing for more efficient sharing of resources, including equipment, apparatus, manpower, and advanced training opportunities.

This collaboration enhances our ability to respond more effectively, improve preparedness, and ensure a higher level of service and protection for the citizens we serve. By working together, we are better equipped to meet the growing needs of our community with greater coordination and fewer limitations.

***TRAFFIC ADVISORY***

US Hwy 11 will be closed beginning at 5:00 PM today October 31st, 2025 until Sunday November 2nd, 2025 at 5:00 PM. The closure will occur on Highway 11 between Tate Street and Goodyear Boulevard.

Please make any necessary preparations to avoid traffic and congestion in the area.

🚨SMOKE ADVISORY 🚨

The Mississippi Forestry Commission is working to contain a large fire in Hancock County, which is producing heavy smoke across the area.

Be advised that the smoke may remain in the area until the fire is fully contained.
