The Riverdale Police Department has been made aware of fraudulent "Notice of Hearing - Traffic Violation / Toll
Violation" letters being sent to residents.
These notices are NOT legitimate.
They may appear official and often include a QR code demanding payment while threatening court action.
Do NOT:
* Scan the QR code
* Click any links
* Provide personal or financial information
If you receive one:
* Do not respond
* Verify the notice through an official court or county website
* Report it to our department
These scams are designed to look real, but they are not issued by any legitimate court.

A reminder to residents to help keep our community safe by clearing snow and ice around nearby fire hydrants. In an emergency, every second counts and firefighters need quick and clear access to hydrants to protect lives and property. Snow covered hydrants delay response times and put homes and families at risk. If you have a fire hydrant near your property, please take a few extra minutes to shovel at least 3 feet around it and clear a path from the street. Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe this winter!

Utility Pole and wires are down along Hamburg Tpk

Hamburg Tpk is CLOSED between Pequannock Ave and Lincoln Ave. Please use alternate route.

If you need to access the Pompton Hills Apartments on Hamburg Tpk, you will ONLY be able to access it at the Officer stationed at Hamburg and Pequannock Ave.

Unknown at this time when utility crews will restore power to the area and be able to re-open the roadway. We will update here as soon as we know. Thank you for your cooperation.
