On 7/18/26 at 04:13, Pomfret Fire was dispatched to a one car motor vehicle crash on Pomfret Rd. Engine 3 w/ 3 and Squad 1 w/ 3 responded along with Woodstock Ambulance and Vermont State Police. The investigation was turned over to VSP after units determined there was no hazard or injury.
At 05:06, as units were beginning to clear, Hartland Fire requested a Pomfret Tanker on a first-alarm structure fire assignment as well as station coverage. Engine 2 w/2 responded to the scene and Squad 1 w/2 provided station coverage. Units cleared Hartland around 06:30.
Additionally, three Pomfret firefighters attended the Upper Valley Mutual Aid Association’s United Fire Training at the Enfield Fire Department today. This hands on training focused on attack line deployment, search and rescue, firefighter survival skills, forcible entry, and PPE and SCBA proficiency.
