💜 August 31 is International Overdose Awareness Day 💜

Today, we remember the lives lost to overdose, recognize the grief of families and loved ones, and work to reduce the stigma surrounding substance use and overdose.
Overdose can happen to anyone, and knowing how to respond can save a life.
Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an opioid overdose when given in time. Learning the signs of an overdose, having naloxone available and calling 911 can make a difference.
The Marshall County Health Department has FREE Naloxone available during regular business hours.

With highs in the 90s and heat indices topping 100 this week, it is recommended to:

-Stay indoors as much as possible
-Wear loose-fitting, light-colored clothing
-Drink fluids regularly
-Avoid strenuous activity
-Watch for symptoms of heat-related illness

Distributions are drive through. Please remain in your vehicle and open your trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
